Delivered both online and classroom based, the tutor and learners will discuss the below qualifications and topics. Workbooks will be emailed to each learner to complete with support from the tutor and exams will be booked at a suitable date available for learners.
In addition, we pay for the SIA Security Officer licence for every learner on successful completion of the routeway. The course consists of the following elements:
Level 1 Certificate in Workskills – covering teamwork, problem-solving, Health and Safety, self-assessment, rights and responsibilities, using a CV and covering letter to apply for jobs and preparing for an interview.
Level 1 Award in Customer Service – The qualification provides learners with the knowledge and understanding in customer service for learners who deal, or intend to deal, with customers on a daily basis as part of their job role and is applicable to a variety of work environments.
Level 2 Working as a Security Officer – This includes the main characteristics of the private security industry, the importance of safe working practices to comply with legal requirements, the role of a security officer within the private security industry, the law relevant to the role of a security officer, how to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations and good practice to follow after conflict situations.
After completion, the learner will be given guidance on how to apply for their SIA licence and be supported through the process. They will receive an SIA card by the provider, this can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to arrive.
